Consul-General Profile

Ms.Elizabeth Nyantakyi is a Career Diplomat with almost three decades of experience in the Ghana Foreign Service.

Prior to assumption of her position as the Consul-General of Ghana to Mauritius in August 2023, she was the Director/Diaspora Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

As a Director in Charge of the Diaspora Affairs Unit of the Ministry, she was very instrumental in the coordination and the finalization of Ghana’s Diaspora Engagement Policy. She has served in Ghana Missions abroad in various capacities in the course of her duty tours and these include, Washington D.C., Paris, Madrid, and as the Deputy Head of Mission in the Ghana High Commission in Ottawa, Canada.

At the Foreign Ministry of Ghana, Ms. Nyantakyi worked in the Legal and Consular Bureau, Protocol Bureau, International Organisations and Conferences Bureau, Europe Bureau, Audit and Inspectorate Bureau as well as Asia Bureau.

Ms. Nyantakyi holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Beijing Institute of International Relations, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A. Hons) French Major, from the University of Ghana, Legon.
